Aloha Kihei CrossFit - Fit Body, Fit Life. But How?!
In our last post , Coach Frank encouraged us to keep showing up to do the work. This is because the work you do to improve your fitness WILL translate into success in other areas of our lives.
Most of us know this to be true, but how is that possible?
It’s a complex subject, but here’s a great video that nerds out on the subject in a fun and informative way:

The complex movement we’ve performed over human history to adapt to present and future threats has made us crazy smart… and exercise unlocks that potential.
In fact, the video cites that if the benefits of exercise could be produced in pill form, it would instantly be the most valuable drug on the market… despite having nothing to do with “weight loss”!
What I’d like to add to this understanding is that if you’re someone who does CrossFit, you are arguably getting the best “medicine" there is.
Work 2.0
We’re at an interesting point in time.
So much of “work” is now so abstract that most of us sit all day 🚗 💻 📧... and all night for that matter 📺 . We were then able to think up a lot of genius ways for food to be heavily processed and transported for cheap that tasted great 😋 … despite its nutritional deficiencies 🤕 .
The negative effects of this really started to show in the mid-1900s… and unfortunately diet/nutrition related issues only seem to be getting worse as time passes.
The good news is that the individual “fitness” craze started to take off with the dawn of aerobics and body building 💪 and it has evolved ever since.
Bulletproof Fitness
As a process of that evolution, we got “CrossFit". Greg Glassman, the founder, realized that our interpretation of “fitness” was wildly different from person to person.
For example, who’s fitter... Lebron James or Cristiano Ronaldo? Serena Williams or Simone Biles? There used to be no way to actually tell!
So, using what he learned about in the powerful scientific method, he clearly defined what “fitness” is… and even formula to achieve it.
This basically the equivalent of someone giving you the map of exactly where it is you’re trying to go and what routes to take to get there in the best way. Amazing!
Any form of exercise will help, but this one in particular is systematically going to unlock that amazing potential you’ve got.
